One Million Bones

I made bones today.

(The partial skull is mine)

A femur, two partial skulls, the lower left half of a jaw, and a partial hip, which raised $5.00 to the One Million Bones Project.

Olivia Natale and Clay College (Cumberland County, NJ) hosted a bone making party this afternoon to help support her sister, Naomi Natale, and the project that aims to raise awareness of ongoing genocide and funds to aid survivors and their communities. I had heard about it out of the blue while working on new ceramic inventions and decided it was a good way to spend a Saturday.

The project plans to have and take 1,000,000 bones to the National Mall in Washington D.C. in June of 2013.
